How much for new w/d hookups?

I own a condo with a dishwasher but no washer/dryer hook ups. One plumber told me it would cost $1400 to add them to the sink lines, going along through the back of the kitchen cabinets not going through any walls.. This is for a ventless/110V machine so essentially just dealing with extending the water lines. Any ideas on whether this is a good price or not?

actually the main work will be the drainage...the level of the drain will have to be above the top of the washer...the plumber will should to cut into the drain line, but may just tee off the existing 2 inch drain line to the sink..

Thanks eman. Yes, he'll cut into the sink drain line. I would also be responsible for getting the permits, not sure how much time that takes out of my work day...

Hi. I'm going through the same process. This may be a tad high, but it's in the same ballpark we're paying. (Our job is slightly more complicated.) We've had a great experience with Aladdin Plumbing. Ask for Erik. He's been very respondive and reasonably priced.

Call Peter Dymond. He's a talented plumber, and runs a crew for a larger plumbing company during the week. Evenings and weekends he does small jobs like this on the side. You'll need to get your own permit if you or your building feels thats required. You'll save about half.

I would be cautious of a Plumber that is requiring YOU to get the permits. If you're getting them, whose Plumbing license are you using on the application?
