Professional spray painted?
Does anyone have a recommendation of a place I could have a large frame spray painted with a paint I can provide?
If so, any idea of prices for something like that?
(I know I could rent the machine myself but I dont have a space I can do it in without making a mess)

what kind of paint?

Just regular old matte latex paint is what I had in mind. But if some other kind of paint works better, Im fine with that too. It just has to be a certain BM color.
Err..I meant to write "professional spray paint", not spray painted. Sorry.

I heard some car mechanic's place does and does well spray painting kitchen cabinets (great quality for cheaper cost than via a painter). It's easy money for them and some of them does it probably overnight - ie take care of these side jobs over night.

Thanks more4less. Do you have any specific recommendations?

Mrs Limstone, we live in diff hoods and not familiar with mechanics at your hood. Do suggest you target shops that does painting - ie collision shops. Just bring a pic of the frame, dimensions, and ask if & how much they want for the svc

If you want matte latex paint, it wouldn't be very hard to paint it yourself, with a brush. Getting a good glossy finish with a brush would be hard, but matte is easy.

Most professional finishers would not put a latex in their spray equipment as it requires a different setup and water tends to contaminate the system. I personally would never put a waterborne finish in my fancy setup. I use a dedicated system for latex (primarily exterior primer). My first suggestion is to have the color mixed as a post-cat lacquer or conversion varnish- it's just a better product.
I don't usually do this, but I have been am a fan of your renovation project. You can call me 718.832.1058.

Thanks Southslope. I just left a weird message on your machine since I didn't know your name.
I have no idea what a post-cat lacquer or conversion varnish is...but Im not picky. As long as I can get the color I need, I'll get whatever works in the machine.
