Mortgage rates
Who has the best 30 year fixed rates today?
I'm going crazy with visiting all the sites.
Comments
I used Wells Fargo. My friend is using Chase.

what rates did you get?
Posted by: karo25 at April 15, 2009 4:11 PM
I got a 4.87% from BOA about 2 weeks ago. Just missed the 4.6%, but I'm still happy with what I got.

I locked in at 4.75% about 2-3 weeks ago.

What kind of credit scores are going along with those good rates? Are banks raising the scores they want to see for under 5%?

MKSK: IT LOOKS THAT ANYTHING BETWEEN 760 and 850 WILL GUARANTEE YOU THE LOWEST RATE.

There is one thing I have noticed. I just ordered a free 30 day trial and it looks like my AMEX accounts were not updated in months. I have sent a dispute letters to the 3 companies to update the information and boost up my credit.
I learned not to trust AMEX lately. this is just FYI
Good Luck!

Someone else asked this, but I haven't seen an answer: What about Jumbo Loan Rates for 30-year fixed? Are those going down too? We have 6.25% now which is great but I'd love to get it down if possible.
If you've had luck with a Jumbo refi, where did you go?
Thanks.

nyflicka: I suggest you start a new post with the subject jumbo mtg. you most likely won't find your answer here. Sorry but I don't have any experience with jumbo.

I got a 4.875% on a jumbo but I paid a point, closed last week. I worked with Adam Dahill of Approved Funding on this board. The bank we closed with was Chase. Adam jumped through hoops for us and our situation on a 2 family. Can't recommend him enough, in my situation, I wouldn't have been able to get this rate if I pursued the banks directly. Believe me, I tried.
