Limited Liability Corp (LLC)
If a mixed use building is partly owned by a LLC, can someone from the LLC live in the building? I read somewhere that they can't, please shed some light.

I don't see why not.
You said "partly owned by an LLC", do you mean an LLC and a separate individual are listed as owners of the property?
The LLC is part owner, as a corporation, I don't see it being a problem for a shareholder in that LLC to be a resident in the property.
