Facade Work
I'm going to get the steps of my painted brick house brownstoned - they're a mess. I'm also going to paint and do some repair work on the wood trim. Should I get one person to do that - a mason - or hire a mason and an outdoor painter? I've heard good things about Prates Plastering for painting and Abedin for masonry work - do I need to hire both? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. If I do hire both, who comes first?

Hey there. I would suggest you go with one contractor. I second the z. abedin recs. i've been a fan of the guy since getting crazy quotes from others. he can certainly handle the painting. you will likely get a better overall total price by going with one person.
that said, if you have a specialized woodworking need, go with an expert. May cost more but you will be happier in the end.

I suggest that you go with one contractor as well since you will get a better deal overall but I suggest you call High-Tech construction since they are brownstone specialists. They have done many jobs for me and the price is unbeatable. The High-Tech team worked personally to make a budget plan that worked for me. They have done many projects for my company. I agree with the others on hiring one contractor. Since you are looking for masonry and painting...Patrick is the guy. I am sure he will give you a good bid with quality of work. Why pay more if you don't have to and get the same service. Call him at 1646-945-7315. Trust me you will get a good deal I surely did.

The company i have dealt with is the president of Innovation Construction.
