Cost to install bathroom sink?
Does anyone know how much it would cost to:
1) take out an existing old bathroom sink (can I do it myself?)
2) install a replacement sink?
thanks!

Whether you can do it yourself or not depends on your skill level & the existence of an easy-to-get-to cutoff valve. If you are able to, you could probably also install the new one.

You do not need permits to replace the end fixtures on existing plumbing lines. If you plan to alter the existing plumbing in any other way then you need a permit and a licensed plumber.
For costs it could be anything- a mid range faucet set alone can run $200, I wound up spending $600 on a console sink + legs + faucet. But you can find cheaper or more expensive.

What kind of sink is coming out and what are you putting in it's place? Vanity, pedestal, wall hung, etc.?
