Can you recommend an engineer?

I posted earlier looking for an engineer. Apparently the price range I mentioned was too low. I'm clearly a beginner. I need someone trustworthy who can come and inspect the structure of my home. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

I am not sure what you are expecting to spend but Bob Albani 718-819-0174 gets recommended here frequently (with very positive sentiments). I think he wanted to charge us about 250 an hour and he told me to expect about 2 to 3 hours.

Full disclosure: he's also a friend of my dad's, and ultimately we used someone else.

We most recently used Avishay I. Mazor, P.E. - 1034 E 12th St, Brooklyn, NY 11230-4112 (718) 859-6283. We were happy with his services...good luck!

I had 3 house inspections done on 3 different houses in the past year. Bob Albani was one of them, was on the expensive end of the price range, and I don't think that he's an engineer. I would not use any of them again, frankly.

I used Coull Building Inspections Inc. for my recent inspection. Guy was very information and pointed out everything, and sent me over a 25 page report with pictures. I saw a posting on here where someone used Coull and they only got a 5 page report, so they say. I was pleased with the service and it cost me $425

There is a difference between a structural engineer inspection and a home inspection. Be very specific who you hire...
