trying to fix a lantern skylight
I am trying to restore my skylight in the bathroom. it has the pull system to open and close the side glass panels. At the moment there is no cord or chain. Does anyone know how and what to use to open and close the skylight

those skylights, to my memory, typically had a crank type assembly..it looks like it may be missing parts...there is a skylight shop on 6th st? between 4th and 5th avenue that may be able to help you out...i will try to get the name and phone number when i take my youngest daughter to school in the neighborhood tmrw

superior tinsmith is the name of the place on 6th street. they are really good and they made a skylight that opens for one of my rental apartments. Getting those parts is really hard. but they had an old one and then I got the stick with the hook that cranks the thing open. good luck!
