To Houses Coming Down - Salvage
Just got an email from Demolition Depot about two houses that are coming down. DD is selling everything including the kitchen sink. Thought you might like to see too. They said this is just a sample and to email if you are looking for anything in particular.

Two houses, not to houses. Excuse me. :)

Both houses appear to be in magnificent condition. And much better than most houses posted on this site. Any idea why they're being torn down? Is this in Brooklyn? Thanks.

One is in the Bronx and one is in Conn. I think DD makes the houses accessible to salvage buyers. You should call and ask them.

Their prices are really high. Every time I call about something I am shocked at how expensive it is. Do you have a different experience with them? I like some of these items but I am almost afraid to ask.

my first reaction (to lamely quote Rachel Zoe) "I die. bananas. literally." why would anyone tear these beauties down? I wish I had a house like these, of course, I'm trying to make my own house like these, but what are these people thinking? then my second reaction is: how much is that amazing tub? and those stained glass windows? and...and...

honeycut,
welcome the land of waste and stupidity. to tear down or even gut these buildings is like lighting cigars with $100 bills. decadent, egoistic and in disharmony with what society and the earth needs.
