Help me to find a proficient con

I have bought an old building and I wish to renovate it so that it can be used for commercial offices. I am in the process of locating and hiring a contractor for the overall renovation work. Any suggestions where can I find a reputable contractors? Thanks in advance.

Aren't you trying to AVOID "a proficient con" by asking here for the recommendation of a contractor? Sorry, I couldn't resist after seeing your odd abbreviation :-)

Hi A/C,

I just renovated my one bedroom apartment and used J Thomas Construction. They are based in Brooklyn and I can't say enough great things about them. They were honest, fast, reliable and gave the best customer service along the way.

The owner is JT Stewart (917) 699 - 3810. Browse their site too www.jthomasnyc.com to get an idea of the quality. I highly recommend these guys.

i would like to recommend a contractor that i used for my renovation. Jamal El Natour 646 724 6161. Though my project was residential, Jamal has a ton of experience doing commercial renovations. In addition to be being well priced and quality work ( and on budget), he is extremely knowledgeable as he is also trained as a structural engineer. even if you do not hire him, I strongly suggest having him visit your work site and place a bid.
tell him mike sent you.

PS this is not a shill as I have consistently posted on Brownstoner. I have pics of the work he did for me upon request ( provide email for pics)

I would recommend All Renovation (http://www.allrenovationllc.com.) They renovated our home and are very professional and good guys and the work is of high quality.

How big is the building and where is it? I can’t really recommend anyone if I don’t know what type of project your going to undertake or where, but I would recommend going to http://www.jobtrio.com/ the site is a median that helps consumers find contractors, there are thousands of contractors listed on the site so you should be able to find the right contractor for your specific project.
