Demolition and stripping

Hi Everyone. I need recommendations for 2 things:
1. interior demolition for a semi-gut reno of a brownstone with restoration in mind
2. woodwork stripper and refinisher
Thanks!

Joe Salem has stripped a lot of our woodwork--look up his contact info on the forum postings. We loved working with him and the results and price were great.

there are a couple around - DeGamba in Brooklyn, Park Slope Paint Strippers in Brooklyn, Dip n Strip in New Jersey, and Strip Quick in Staten Island www.RefinishNY.com

Besides quality of work and pricing, I'd be concerned how they deal with the hazardous lead paint waste

What ever you do, do not dip. Hand stripping is the way to go. Dipping spells trouble down the road.

Thanks all.
Why is dipping a bad thing? Did you see the recent reno post?
