Pantry Doors
We had a pantry (really, a large reach-in shelving unit) built out of a small alcove area in our apartment. The problem we're having now is getting bi-fold doors for them. The space is 92" high and 72" wide. Our contractor tried to install plywood bi-fold doors, but they were bowed and didn't close properly. We're looking for 4 18" panels that are 1 3/8" thick, either solid or hollow core, most likely in birch. Dykes Lumber quoted us approximately $910 for the 4 panels. Midwood Doors & Millwork quoted us $550, but it took them 2 weeks (and several phone calls from my husband) to give us a quote. We're reluctant to order from them because they were difficult to get a hold of in the first place. Anyone have any recommendations as to where else we can get these doors or other alternatives for the doors? Thank you.

Try the internet. A search for "custom bifold doors" came up with:

There are many other door design sites.

Instead of 4 bifold doors, why don't you look for two doors 36x92? That's what I did for my kitchen pantry and I like the openness of this set-up. You can buy solid wood doors at Eddie's for basically no money, spend $200 per door on stripping, and the result is quite surprising.
