Landmark Architect?

My Fort Greene co-op is looking for an architect with experience in landmark districts, to make plans for building repairs: repointing, cornice and brownstone repair, and window replacement. Does anyone have any recommendations? All leads much appreciated. Thanks!

You can try Keith Goich, he's an arhcitect that has dealt with Landmarks before. (917)566-2232 his e-mail is goich.k@thegoich.com

you don't need to pay a bundle for LPC services from a architect. Metro Restoration did all our permits and planning and specs when did our facade. Call at 718-521-1435

I would suggest that you first have an independent survey completed, prior to hiring the architect, so you know what you are getting into. I've used Heimer Engineering before for surveys. They are very affordable (maybe $10 or $15K). and will even itemize and budget for your repairs. Then you can use this report as the basis to get proposals from architects.

If you want some architect recommendations after that is complete, please email me: spanishfish (at) gmail (dot) com

Can you tell me more about your building, is it brick, brownstone, limestone, etc. and size.
