Emergency Asbestos Removal

My boiler just died needs to be replaced but to do that I have to have asbestos removed. Has anyone worked with J&J Asbestos Abatement? Can you recommend another company?

j&J is licensed (or at least they were a few months ago). i used abatek corp...reasonable prices and reliable. ask for januzsk (sp?)
i believe there's a licensed contractor listing on the dob's site.
in my experience the quote's that you'll get from vendors referred by your boiler contractor might be a bit higher than what you can find on your own.

Good luck!

I have worked with J & J Asbestos on several projects dating as far back 1994. They have always provided a good service and I have never experienced any issues with them.

We just did this in our Harlem townhouse...some plumbers said they would include it in the price others would not begin work until we had it abated. We ended up going with Prestige Environmental 800-659-7209. We called around to a number of licensed contractors and found the price to vary signficantly. In the end Prestige did a good job...they did more than we asked them for. But just to prepare you this is not inexpensive.
