Are Shower curtains a turn off?
I just completed a small bathroom redo for a rental apartment. I'm trying to decide between shower curtains vs basic Home Depot off the shelf sliding enclosures.
Personally, I don't like the sliding doors as the channels and tracks are a pain to keep clean. I know there are frameless designs, but budget does not allow.
What do other think?

i personally think that shower curtain is way classier than those cheesy sliding shower doors that home depot or lowes carry... the sliders remind me of clam shell molding

Shower curtain.
It's less of a hassle to replace a broken curtain or rod than a broken door.

Get a shower curtain. It's easier to stab people through a shower curtain. But get a natural one that doesn't give off those toxic plastic fumes. That stuff will kill you!

how can you even ask? Have you ever been to a luxury hotel or spa that hide sliding doors? shower curtain all the way. No question. And, normally, the tenant supplies their own.

Another vote for a curtain over the off the shelf sliding kind.

Shower Curtain. This also allows a renter to "personalize" the space by choosing a decorative curtain that reflects their taste.

I had the slidding doors for years and as long as the water drains fine and there is no place for the water to get trapped, they work just fine.

Another vote for shower curtains. They make the space feel much larger than the sliding doors.

Yeah shower curtains. How about no tub. A super wide shower is pretty hot.

Problem with doors is that you can't wash a baby/toddler easily. big turn off for future inhabitants. And they get scummy if you don't stay on top of cleaing.

Another vote for shower curtain.

NOPE... Glass doors. there are a wide range of styles and prices now. You can get a real nice one with polished aluminum frames and thick glass. The frame is not hard to keep clean and the doors look great because they are all glass...agree the translucent ones and any design looks tacky. Bolder is right though....they are less practical if you need the tub to wash the baby or the dog!!!
The full glass enclosures are the nicest but will be pricey..$1,200-1,800 for a "tub" one.

Curtains.
Far fewer ways for a tenant to ruin the work.

Sitting on the edge of a tub which has a track for a sliding shower door in order to give a bath to a kid is no fun at all. (Do it long term and you'll wind up with a groove in your derriere.) We took our shower/tub doors out before moving into the new place for precisely that reason.
