Wood floor repair?
We have a stretch of very creaky and loose floorboards in a hallway. One of the boards is cracking and probably needs to be replaced, and there may be a problem with the underlying subfloor. Anybody have a favorite flooring contractor in Brooklyn? Is there anybody I ought to avoid? And any idea what a reasonable quote should look like? The troublesome patch is about two feet by three feet.

Definitely Verrazano flooring, but make sure you do a careful inspection after they are done.
