Upholsterer
I am looking for an upholsterer in Brooklyn. I have seat cushions for two chairs that I would like to match the original Naugahyde.
Thank You.

I recommend DAS Upholsterers on Cortelyou Rd between Argyle and Rubgy. He did two chairs for us. He is reasonable and does very good work.

Completely agree about DAS. He is excellent. I also had two chairs done and his work is excellent and prices good.

Agree with both. He's funny too.

I have also used DAS on Cortelyou between Rugby and Argyle Roads numerous times. Good work at a reasonable price. I wish I could have gotten him to wrap foam and waterproof fabric on the clapboards outside of my house. It would have been way cheaper and probably a whole warmer than insulating, residing and then painting. Another benefit of using DAS is that parking is fairly easy to find on or around Cortelyou but if you don't drive you can take the Q train to Corteltyou and walk up two short blocks.

I just had an armchair re-upholstered beautifully by Tania Kovalenko in Greenpoint. She has a large shop, lots of fabric, fairly priced ... phone number is 718-383-0792. She may have a website, I'm not sure.
