small washer and dryer
Can anyone recommend a washer and dryer that would fit under kitchen counters (34"H x 24"W x 24"D)? I don't have much space in the kitchen so I am limited in my selection but can't seem to find any outstanding recommendations online. Seems like everyone has mixed feelings about the ones available (Bosch, Maytag, whirlpool, etc.). I have ruled out the combo machines. Thanks!

You don't get two Forum posts in a week!!! LOL
I have had no issues with my Bosch units.

ha ha. I am desperate to get to the bottom of this so I can start my renovation. Do you know the dimensions of your units? or model #? I think some Bosch machines are very reliable...it's these small machines that I (and many others) are skeptical of). I just don't really have the choice to go bigger.

I can find out next week when I return home. I didn't buy them, they were there when I bought the house.

knock yourself out...plenty of washers and dryers that are 24" wide.
Look at Miele also.

Thanks Daveinbedstuy. Could you be more specific bayridgegirl? I've noticed there is a wide selection of 24" machines, the problem is picking the right one. I was hoping to hear some success stories about people and their undercounter washer dyers.

Miele Novotronic. Kind of expensive, but we've had our w/d since 1999 with not one single problem, and we probably do 10 loads a week (we have 2 kids...). Although I think a bearing in the dryer is squalling a bit, but I'd buy another in heartbeat. You can't get huge amounts of laundry in, obviously, but it's quiet and very efficient. the one downside is that the wash cycle is long, but that's the price for water/detergent efficiency

This article is about the laundry-cleaning apparatus. For the Sonic Youth album, see Washing Machine (album).
Front-loading washing machine.
A washing machine, or washer, is a machine designed to clean laundry, such as clothing, towels and sheets. The term is mostly applied only to machines that use water as the primary cleaning solution, as opposed to dry cleaning (which uses alternative cleaning fluids, and is performed by specialist businesses) or even ultrasonic cleaners.
