Plumber Problem
I had a plumber come in and install a radiator in 2 seperate apartments that are located one on top of the other. The apartment on the lower floor was getting heat while the radiator on the upper floor was not. I called a second plumber to take a look at the situation and he notified me that the radiator was incorrectly installed. Other than taking the first plumber to Small Claims Court, what other recourse do I have against the first plumber? Can I make a claim against his insurance? If so, how do I do this?

Have you been unsuccessful with getting the first plumber to correct his work?

I just got him to come back today. He seems to disagree with the 2nd plumber's assesment as to the source of the problem. But I am giving him a chance to correct it his way - if he doesn't fix the problem he will have to pay for the 2nd plumber's cost.

If you managed to get him to agree to that, GET IT IN WRITING.

at least the guy is doing the right thing and coming back to fix the problem...the standard modus operandi for a lot of contractors is to say that everything the last guy did is wrong and you have to pay me a lot to do it all over, nad not only that, but your life is in imminent danger if you do not get me to do this immmediately...so cut for first guy some slack and let him fix it

eman1234 has a great point. Alot of the time it is a sign of a poor technician when they go out of their way to bad mouth the guy before them.
