NYC Department of Buildings

I'm writing a magazine article about changes in the NYC Department of Buildings since LiMandri took over, and specifically, how these have affected the city's co-ops and condos.

If you have any opinions or insights on the matter, please contact me asap at alexis.s.wolff at gmail dot com.

Thanks!

Biggest change: You don't have to be an engineer or an architect any more to hold his job.

Isn't he just following through with Lancaster's master plan?
Anyone know if there is a hiring freeze for new inspectors yet?

oh my god where do I start, i dont honestly think its been long enough to assess any change post limandri. I will tell you that the fear factor is sky high, nothing is going through easily. Also coops are going crazy with the rigorous review process for anything - changing toilets. I just think people are tired of construction across the board.
