Tile Outlet

hi,
can anyone suggest an inexpensive tile outlet in brooklyn/queens? ...there was a place that we used to go to in chicago that sold remnants and odds and ends. we picked through the marble and got two stunning bathrooms for about $1/sq ft. the only customers there were contractors and i am sure the place had no website. suggestions anyone?

There are a couple of places on 65th. Street and 7th. Ave in Brooklyn on the North side of 65th. I don't know their names, but you'll see three or four places on the block. They all have tiles up with a figure of how many square feet they have and the price. They also haggle. Happy hunting.

This place is incredible and they sell knock offs... we found a glass tile that sold at Ann Sacks for more 40 bucks a square foot with a 6 week lead time. We bought it here for 15. Nice folks but they are closed on Saturdays.

Good luck!

Wherever you go, negotiate.

Turn your back and walk if the price is too high.
