Radio Hobbyist Needed

Hi, I recently refinished an old stand-up Philco radio from the 1920s and am looking for someone proficient with tube radios who is interested in getting it working for me again. Please let me know if you are interested or know anyone who does this kind of work. I've called a couple of electricians to no avail....

One guy that repairs this kind of stuff is Fred Longworth at www.repairaudio.com.

The best guy is actually EchoWars (EchoWars@kc.rr.com) but he's a busy man.

Else I'd visit some of the vintage audio sites and ask around. Check the classic audio forums of stevehoffman.tv and audioasylum.com

You might consider attending one of the tristate or NJ vintage radio club meetings or swap meets, or be interested in this site, too: http://www.antiqueradios.com/

THE man you're looking for is Hugo Picciani in park slope. Probably the most learned living expert of old radio equipment.

If you are a fan of antique electronics his workshop/home is a rare treasure--and you should make some time to see his stuff and chat with him--you will not be dissapointed.

Don't have his phone# but my guess is, it's listed.
