inexpensive contractor needed for 1 day job

We need to get a big hole in a wall patched up (thought we were going to knock down the wall, but ran into board issues) and our contractor is now unavailable until Feb. Any recs for an inexpensive contractor who can come for a day and patch up our wall? It needs to be someone with insurance b/c our board is strict with that.

If it's just a hole, any shmuck with a small piece of sheetrock, some compound, tape, a joint knife can fix it fast. If any of your neighbors are doing work, I'd offer one of their workers $50 to fix it for you.

This is the first time I've ever agreed with IronBalls.

I agree with IronBalls above, I wouldn't have used the word shmuck but I understand what you mean. There are many tools that are needed to repair the hole. If you can't find someone we can come out and fix it for you but would need to know the dimension of the hole so we can bring out a piece of sheetrock. It wouldn't cost much to fix.
