Do I Need a Plumber or Contractor
Pardon the ignorance. We want to have a dishwasher and a washing machine installed. There are no such hookups, and the washing machine would have to be in the room next to the bathroom (perhaps some wall torn down?). Whom do I consult for such a task--plumber? Contractor? Both? And do you have suggestions for a job of this size? Thanks, all.

Call a few contractors and get estimates. A plumber won't be able to break through the wall -- of if they do they won't fix it back again.....The contract will hire the plumber for you or already employs one.

I think you'll need both a plumber and an electrician [because IIRC dish washers are hard wired--no plug]. A contractor might be easier, although I'd personally hire people in the two trades and coordinate their work myself.

You would need a plumber, an electrician and a contractor (unless you are able to patch up the wall). Some contractors already have both electrician and plumber working for them, some does not. Good luck, but am pretty sure you would need all three. If you ever need any repairs, you can give us a call or email us (pics are provided via email).
