shaking building

Hi, I recently moved into a new building and I've noticed that it shakes quite bit when a truck passes by. Is this normal? If not, who should I contact in addition to the landlord? Thank you.

I would't worry. My house shakes everytime the trucks passes by, normal...I think:)

karo25 is correct...how old is your house? Probably been shaking for decades and it's still fine, no?

Build in the 60ies and sure is just fine. The worst was when they had the construction going on in front. The pictures where flying of the wall but I got used to it.

it was built in the past couple of years. just feels odd since i haven't lived in a building that shakes before. thank you for calming my fears.

If there's a real problem you'll see tell tales (i.e. cracking + separating).

Just keep an eye on things moving or cracking.

I lived in a building on Bedford for a couple years and the windows were pulling away from the structure of the building and some panes cracked due to the truck traffic.

jes' vibrations from the truck traffic... my building vibrates when heavy trucks barrel down the street, and my co-op building is very old... by the way, been living in the building for the past 25 years!
