Can't ignite boiler pilot light

The boiler was working earlier this season, then seemed to die. Unfortunately, it's a completely different boiler than the one featured in the video. Based on the instructions, it's an automatic pilot, so there's little to do other than turn elec ON, then turn gas dial from OFF to ON, but it doesn't seem that there's electicity or gas being turned on. I'm not sure if I should call the electrician or plumber.

If anyone else has a Weil Mclain eg 55 p1 and knows the trick to turning it back on, please help. Thanks.

Automatic has different meanings when it comes to pilot lights.
Any chance you can post a picture? Or a link to one? I may be able to help you here.

You're right Master Plumber.

From experiences with SO called "Automatic Pilots" this is what I advise...

On the "On/Off" switch if it has a "Pilot" section, click it over to pilot, hold the button next to the switch down at the same time that you light the pilot, the piolot should light at this point, do not let go of the button for approx. 2 minutes, this is done to keep the gas flowing, at the same time as letting go of the button after the 2 minutes switch the dial to the on position, you have to let go of the button, but turn to the on position almost simultaneously. This works on a lot of boilers. If it doesnt light at all, it may be clogged. You can call me if you need help. Let me know what happens.

I appreciate your help-posts. Unfortunately, at this point I need someone to come over, after normal work hours....and hopefully not cost me an arm and a leg.

Thanks again.
