What? What do you think?

I think the time for making fun of The What ended somewhere around DOW 9000
Posted by: Ringo at October 24, 2008 11:27 AM
I think the apartment needs better staging.
Is that a chicken bone on the couch?
Posted by: bayridgegirl at October 24, 2008 11:32 AM
oh my god this is freaking hilarious.
Posted by: HOBOKENROCKS at October 24, 2008 11:36 AM
as eric cartman said, you can just hang around outside in the sun all day, tossing a ball around, or you can sit at your computer and do something that matters!

Ringo, The Whatless only first started talking about a Mutant Asset Bubble around DOW 9000. He was still dogging real estate before that. Are you The What, or are you just too clueless to see through the hype?

"What? What do you think?"
I think you a fucking Asshat.
"I think the time for making fun of The What ended somewhere around DOW 9000"
Ringo, this my entry for "post of the day".
"I think the apartment needs better staging.

No spare rib bone BRG. Hey BTW BRG how is unemployment treating you? They are trying to legalize prostitution! But I think you smell like sanitation...
Keep it assfuckks, keep it up!

...and yet no attempt to discredit the authenticity of the photo, which was taken this morning by his own camcorder (which was hacked by an out-of-work MIT grad).

But I will say one thing LMMFAO! My desk does look like that LMMFAO!!! That picture is funny. Oh well I can poke fun at myself.

Whatless, you just have to ignore me, don't you? Still can't face the truth.
Posted by: DarkStar at October 24, 2008 11:56 AM
Ringo--there is no time to stop making fun of somebody who repeatedly reduces whole categories of people to two dimensional stereotypes. This has nothing to do with the stock market or property values and everything to do with respect and recognition of fellow humans.

funny, that looks just like the guy in the supposed sighting of The What in the Bear Stearns lobby

Sorry, fellow posters, I have to do this.
'No spare rib bone BRG. Hey BTW BRG how is unemployment treating you? They are trying to legalize prostitution! But I think you smell like sanitation...
I'm still gleefully employed, while you think cutting and pasting is all in a days work.
I'm sure you're glad to hear they are trying to legalize prostitution. Now you can collect an 'honest' paycheck instead of $5 a pop in the alleys of Lodi. While you're bent over, just remember, you're going to have to pay taxes on that.

Before DIBS has a chance to come on this thread and scold us all, I think we should try to keep all anal references positive ones, so as not to offend our homosexual bloggers.
Thus, BRG, you could be more polite to The Whatless by saying something like, "While you are being paid to pleasure another man in a way that I support completely as lifestyle choice, do not forget that even that income is taxable". Thanks.

At least there're no granite countops.

Priceless. I know The What still has one of those $14.99 halogen lamps leftover from his college dorm days, but is that a can of Sapporo? Perfectly fishy. Bravo to lechacal for this...

You all lose the "this has everything to do with respect" aspect when you post you're commenting under this unprovoked The What - Revealed cartoon. I mean, is that your idea of respect?
It seems to me that The What has been commenting long before Dow 9000. And it's been an interesting perspective. I hand him that. I realize he has hardly been the most gracious commenter here. But he's harmless and, so far, he hasn't posted a Miss Muffet - Revealed picture, right? I ask you: who is making this thing personal?
I started reading this blog during Brownstoner's renovation and was an early commenter. I think this place took a dive when people were forced to register. Now it's like an 8th grade cafeteria. It seems to me there is a group of about ten people who fancy themselves the "in" crowd and anyone else is out or wrong or whatever. zzzzzzzzzzz.
I've found The What a refreshing change to be honest.

Does THE WHAT really dwell in LODI, NJ? you gotta be kidding me...PLEASE TELL ME THIS AINT TRUE WHAT!! I love reading your posts every morning, but if you dont even LIVE in brooklyn, come on - whose the asshat now?

Ringo--as someone who has had a generally antagonistic relationship with the What, I can tell you that of late there have been several times where I have written positively about certain observations he has made. From a political/social perspective I share plenty of concerns that the What does about the nature of urban life and who can afford the privilege of living in NYC. However, despite my efforts to find a way to communicate with him and to find common ground nothing but derision comes my way. So for such a person, for whom conversation is a one way street, the only proper response is ridicule.

I get the sense that most of you don't recognize the cartoon. Where is the sense of culture? This is from the South Park World of Warcraft episode, where the boys go online to battle the greatest ever World of Warcraft player (pictured above), who does nothing but sit in front of his computer all day and play World of Warcraft.

Pluheeze....I met the love of my life at a local bar's South Park night! I'm so very cultured-ed.
