So does this mean that the dollar will fall against the Euro & Pound?

What, for the most part I usually agree with you. But today I'm feeling pretty good about things and I think we will start our recovery early next year.
Housing prices will continue to fall but banks will become more regulated and stable. And jobless rates will go down. And out new Fed under an Obama administration- Paul Krugman will be a breath of fresh air, a Fed without ties to wall street.

Posted by: 7andfive at October 13, 2008 11:32 AM

opps. I actually hope Paul Krugman will be Sec of Treasury not Fed.

"very soon the walls of Jericho all fall down".

Hey What, well, I was worried that you were worried on Friday, and now this sounds very nearly apocalyptic.

What do you mean/see happening?

Posted by: cobblehiller at October 13, 2008 11:43 AM

Apparently Jericho has some structural problems in its walls. Termites perhaps?

Posted by: wasder at October 13, 2008 11:48 AM

I am sure in Jericho, Long Island they are quaking in their boots at this point.

Posted by: wasder at October 13, 2008 11:48 AM

I think Computer Associates was based in Jericho...and that certainly fell down!!!!

"What, for the most part I usually agree with you. But today I'm feeling pretty good about things and I think we will start our recovery early next year."

Please don't step into a trap. So far the Central Banks have pumped Trillions into worlld wide markets. The problem is not liquidity it''s solvency and trust. There is a massive compression at the low end of the yield curve. Because people are trying to find a safe heaven for their money and will not lend it out to insolvent entities.

"Housing prices will continue to fall but banks will become more regulated and stable."

Free market is dean for now. Most of the world institutions have been naturalized. Their liabilities are assumed by governments and the inflating of currents have arrived.

" And jobless rates will go down."

In 2019....

This sentence puts the lie to the notion of the What as some kind of uneducated anti-social idiot-savant. Next time he rambles incoherently in grammatically unsound sentences, remember that its all an act (the whole "Asshats" thing).

What's your game What?
