Flatbush Streetscape Improvement Pojrect

Does anyone know if the Flatbush streetscape improvement project, slated to being in fall 2008, is still on track?

The NYC EDC website doesn't have much information, and the RFP for the project was taken down from their website... Any insights greatly appreciated.

Maybe the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership can give you more info?

QoL, yes and no. EDC has split the original scope of work in two. Relocating the utilities from under the demapped section of Prince Street to Fleet Street, which will be extended to Myrtle Avenue, is scheduled to begin in the immediate future. I don't know the timeframe for the rest of the work. From what I hear and infer from the agendas of the Art Commission, the approval of the po-mo sculpture planned for Tillary and Flatbush as part of the streetscape plan has hit a few bumps.
