Anyone else hear a big explosion at 8:50 am?

Yes, lightning and thunder. Big bang out of nowhere. I would guess it was somewhere around 9th Street in the Slope. Made my hair stand on end.

very, very loud. Sounded exactly like an explosion. I think it was more to the south than 9th street, but who knows....

I heard it too. Since it started to rain right after, I'm thinking thunder was most likely the cause.

It was definitely lightning & thunder. My cats happened to be looking out the window & really high-tailed it away. Amazing how it came w/ no warning.
