Drafty Windows
I have 2 windows with no storm windows in my house that are very drafty. Do you recommend getting storm windows or winterizing in some other way? Also, if people recommend storm windows who would do that and also same question for winterizing? House is in Park Slope and I can not afford new windows at the moment. Appreciate your help!

Storm windows are the way to go. However, I'm not sure many places simply stock them. You may have to place an order and and get them by the end of the year. I would just buy a couple plastic window kits for now. Those window kits got me through many bad Chicago winters.

Try to find where the links are with a candle or somethign similar. Then see if you can silicone around there from the outside.

I'd suggest storm windows that are called Triple Track. we bought ours from LWP Windows. Very good company. Don't forget to tip the installers a few bucks, they do a good job.
