Did someone say "Newark Nets"?

Did someone say

Economy, uncertain financing delay plans for Brooklyn arena

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3643309

"Ratner is heavily dependent on a pending federal decision that could determine whether tax-exempt bonds can be used to finance the $950 million arena. But even if the bonds become available, the seized-up credit market could make it impossible to attract investors to the arena, financial experts say."

Seems odd that you are bragging about something, that the majority of Brownstoner readers are probably happy about.

While I was fine with AY, I'll be much happier to not see it built in the way it was fashioned...or at all. I'd much rather see a more organic build out of that site.

If the arena goes to Newark, I would be thrilled actually.

"....and your area goes boom?"

Just a minute ago you made disparaging comments about him coming, now you make doomsday predictions about him not coming. You're backwards, forwards and sideways.

ever thought about politics?

Please God, let them go to Newark. Stop destroying my neighborhood and make one of the worst intersections in Brooklyn even MORE impassable!
