Competitive Rent

Hi, I am trying to identify what a reasonable rent would be on a 1 bedroom in South Slope, near the park, floor through apartment above the owners duplex. Its a typical old apartment with no dishwasher or washer/dryer, probably a about 650 square feet and a funky layout, but definitely with room for a real one bedroom and office. What do you think?

Cruise the craigslist listings, search for similar parameters, and you will get a bunch of data points. As you look at the ads, you can get a sense of why some cost more or less.

I'd suggest $1050 including utilities... then let me know when I can move in.

$1750 for a whole floor on a park block?

I think that's way too low.

I can't vouch for the validity of this data but it might be a good place to start:

And I second the craigslist idea, that's how I priced our rentals.

i still think 1750 is a good price. okay maybe 1850. i don't consider a park an ammenity, but i know a lot do so maybe youre right.
