clear garden debris
Can anyone recommend someone to clear a small overgrown garden in Boerum Hill.

Just be sure they dig out the vines and weeds, not only pull them snapping off the weeds at the roots. We hired somebody to clear our yard of weeds and because they didn't dig out the vines and weeds, mere months later the growth was back even bigger and I spent days clearing it myself. In fact IMO if you really want it done right, dig out and clear the weeds yourself and hire somebody to do just the bagging and hauling away. Those people who do hauling can be found all over Craigslist.

Yes thats what we plan to do. Any roots we can get at we will dig up. Its just the bagging and hauling thats beyond us.
I'll take a look at CraigsList..
Thanks

see www.BoskyGarden.com
traditionalmod is correct that the roots need to come up and out, for any weeds that are perennial. The worst weeds, like mugwort, Japanese knotweed, etc are pernicious because it is impossible to remove 100% of their stoloniferous roots, and any piece left in soil will emerge as a plant
Annual weeds needn't be uprooted, but,if allowed to go seed, will self-sow, and can be a nuisance in this way.
We use the best tools and can make quick work of any overgrown lot
