Adobe Pop Up Surfing brownstoner

Is anyone else out there encountering a pop up "Adobe Flash Player Security" every time you refresh a brownstoner page???

Comments

Yes, extremely annoying.

As a general rule, I refuse to use websites that want me to load anything. Hope brownstoner does not go that route.

I notice that many architectural/condo sites have excess Flash content, slow load times and it's getting worse.

Yes, I had that problem yesterday too DIBS! It was very annoying to me too. One quick call to the help desk solved it for me, but I have no idea what they did to fix it.

Switch to Firefox. I haven't seen it (Firefox on the PC)

I'm also on Firefox and haven't had this occur.

I'm still getting it.

As long as we're complaining about browsers, as a requirement for my work, I have IE set to "report every javascript error" (tools->internet options->advanced->checkbox checked.)

brownstoner's site reports quite a few errors (each of which if IE is set as above, generates an alert, one is: Line 167: error'split(...)1' is null or not a n object. THis is actually quite common on sites, I use Firefox most of the time for general web-surfing.

But as a browser-application designer myself, it drives me crazy that so many websites have sloppy javascript (if your settings are not like mine, you'll just see a yellow icon on the status line and the site continues to function.)

Can anyone debug their sites??
