sewer co. recommendations
My bathtub drain is clogged. A plumber came by yesterday and tried two different snakes and couldn't get the blockage to moved so suggested a call a sewer company. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would love to get a recommendation of a plumbing or sewage company that can help me. Any idea of cost would be great so I can prepare myself. Thank you

Depending on the tub, your problem might be caused by a broken drain linkage which might not be removable via snake. If this is the case, plumbers will probably want to access tub from underneath--i.e. by cutting away the ceiling from the floor below. I am having a hard time imagining that this is a sewer problem.

If it's broken drain linkage, a retrieval tool will get it out.
Sewer and drain cleaning companies are often better equipped to handle older drainage systems with smaller, more flexible snakes.
I recommend Python Sewer and Drain:

I had a good experience with Bedford Sewer... I think someone else recommended them here as well.

I'll second on Bedford Sewer. I've used them about three times over a number of years to clear clogged drains. They were reasonably priced and I was satisfied with the results.

I've had good experience with Econ-o-Sewer. Reliable and reasonably priced 718-338-8484
