recommendations on a granite counter top fabricator
We are planning on installing a new granite counter top. Anyone have recommendations on who to use or who to avoid. I am currently considering either Foro Marble, International Stone Accessories or Wholesale Marble. Anyone have experience with any of them? Thanks in advance.

I've dealt with Shalev at ISA and had a very good experience, but it was for tile so I haven't had any installations performed by them. For granite counters, I went with and recommend Ken from Milestone Marble. He was very affordable and had some specials on standard sizes/shapes that I used in my rentals as well as a custom counter in my unit. He's in Greenpoint but comes withe samples and obviously does his measurements and templates on site. Here's the info:

foro has a great selection of stone but their business and installation services are amateur hour. i lost track of how many errors they made during the process of installing our countertops -- including installing the wrong stone, losing the ones we picked out, not sealing under the counter, etc. to their credit they were pretty good about fixing things once they were pointed out, but the process was a major hassle.

I had a very good experience with Key Tile and Stone on Third Ave and (about) 15th Street in Brooklyn. They installed a marble kitchen counter top and tub surround. The pricing was the best I found, too.

i used galactic (the used to be on 3rd aven but i think they've moved). great prices, show up exactly on time (even early) they even came back the next day to measure again because i had the wrong sink. installed on exactly when they said they would. looks gorgeous.
