looking for info on all things green

I was wondering if there were any good websites out there that cataloged green/sustainable/enviro programs and incentives. I'm looking for tax breaks, abatements, credits... anything like that. I may be planning a large renovation, and would love to implement as many energy saving and ecologically responsible things as possible. I know there are a lot of incentive programs out there, but I wonder if anyone has assembled a lot of relevant info in one place.

Search Susan Boyle (aka, Big Sue) and Benton Brown. They did a huge reno in Crown Heights in 2001. Were doing consulting at some point. Check out this link: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9A0CE7D71E3FF931A1575BC0A9629C8B63

I just heard that one of my old neighbors wrote a book called Green, Greener, Greenest. I believe it encompasses everything from food to green renovations and while not Brooklyn specific, you may find it helpful.

You may want to make the purchases before the end of the year, as I believe that the federal tax incentives have not (yet) been approved for 2009.

Check out the NYSERDA (http://nyserda.org/). They have incentive programs for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy generation for home owners.
