cable service in Windsor terrace?

We just moved to WT and can't seem to get any sort of cable service - Time Warner says we are "unserviceable" and Cablevision says not their area either. We moved to an old house that has never had cable service. Is there any hope?

Huh? Ive lived in various parts of WT and we've always had Time Warner. Maybe you got a poorly informed rep?

Have had DishTV for 4 years. Seems like an awful lot of the time you get 5-20 second breaks in the signal, particularly on overcast/drizzly days. It can be quite annoying when you've recorded a show. Have had Dish out twice but it's no better.

It's block-by-block in Brooklyn. It's very possible Mrs. Limestoner has cable service on her block and the OP does not.

I live in Windsor Terrace as well, and have Time Warner cable... have had it for years.

Check back with Time Warner...

CMU: ask the company to send a real tech to fine tune the dish. The monkeys who do the installations only know how to get it in the ballpark.

I was the first HD customer that DirecTV had in the neighborhood so they sent a guy with alignment electronics to train the installers. As a result I rarely have a problem with signal blackouts. It will occasionally black out for a minute or so about 30 seconds before a heavy downpour. The longest it's been out was for around ten minutes, but that was when that tornado zoomed 500 feet from my house.

Thanks, must admit I hate calling service and having to deal with the forever wait and the indifferent reps.
