window advice??
we are thinking of replacing all the windows in our brownstone before our area is landmarked.
any advice on wood vs. aluminum? and within aluminum, which brands are best?
any advice on good installers for this?
(has anyone used Mega Glass on 5th ave.?)

GOOD IDEA WORKING WITH LANDMARKS CAN BE A NIGHTMARE. I THINK ALUMINUM IS A GREAT CHOICE FOR A BROWNSTONE. I THINK CARATELLI WINDOWS WOULD BE A GREAT CHOICE FOR YOUR PROJECT THEY ARE A FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED OUTFIT AND I KNOW THEY HAVE BEEN IN BROOKLYN FOR OVER 47 YEARS AND YOU CAN REACH OUT TO THEM AT CARATELLIWINDOWS@GMAIL.COM
