Rat Infestation
This summer seems major rat infestation in backyards of block Smith/Butler/Baltic.
Anyone else in area of Smith had this also?
Recommendations, suggestions?
Of course, restaurants and food sellers are big magnet and we have been after a couple of them (with little progress), called 311, CB6, Yassky, etc and have set baits and traps.

We had this happen on our block, too. It was awful and took quite a few months to solve. The effort must be concerted. If the businesses don't clean up their garbage, call 311 again and again.
Have your exterminator throw tracking powder in their (the rats not the business owners) holes,too. Make sure all your neighbors including the businesses have exterminators.
On our block it looks like one or more of the businesses may have introduced a stray cat or two as well.
