Premixed Thinset

There are 3 loose ceramic wall tiles in my shower. Since it's such a small project I was going to buy premixed thinset. Is there a particular brand that I should use? If premixed thinset isn't good, what’s the easiest way to mix a really small amount of powdered thinset?

Hi, you're not really suppose to use thinset mortar with wall tiles. Try latex mastic adhesive. Checkout this from the "This Old House" website:

They also have videos with instructions on repairing wall tiles in bathrooms.

Good luck

I'm by no means an expert on this, but I've heard just the opposite. Thinset is supposed to be fine for anything and mastic seems bad in wet areas:

Oh... I realized I didn't actually chime in on your question. I would simply eyeball the mix in a cup or small bucket. Add little bits of water and stir it up to the proper, peanut-buttery consistency. Hopefully you won't have to buy a huge bag of thinset for a little job like that; maybe you can borrow a bit from someone.

I used this product to re-apply loose tiles in my shower. It was easy to use.
