Painter and Landscaper Needed
Remember me? I found a place that took my three dogs (with a 2.5 month deposit, just for them). I will be among you Brooklynites soon! I'm very excited.
I would like to paint my rental, and I also need someone to come clear out the massively over-grown backyard. Craigslist is making my head spin.
Do you have suggestions for me?

what neighborhood did you end up in? congrats on making the move. i would probably have a chat with your landlord regarding the paint job, they may either be willing to do it for you or be able to recommend someone.
best of luck in your new apartment.

We moved to Bed-Stuy. I was dead set against it, but it's not as bad as I heard it was. I really love the neighborhood, and everyone seems to be receiving us warmly.
I didn't think to ask my LL for a recommendation. Thanks for the heads up!

I do great quality painting, along with wall repairs, etc. I'm based in Bushwick, but work all over Brooklyn and Manhattan.
OwenCarew@gmail.com if you're interested. Can supply references if needed also.

I would use Muhammed, he is excellent, has great crew, extremely reasonable and nice. His number is 917-855-5459. Say Emilia recommended

Aww, sweet dogs. How could any landlord deny those faces and those big pleading eyes?

No way I could forget those doggy faces.

Yeah! It's hard to forget those faces. Too cute. Good to know they found a back yard to romp in. Enjoy!

Funny, Amersantos, I saw someone walking on MacDonough St. between Mal X and Stuyvesant with three dogs. Wonder if that was you? Welcome and enjoy. Just be mindful of dogs relieving themselves on the flowers -- especially those in the barrels -- I can't tell you how many times people have literally poked their heads out the window to yell at me and my dog (who aims at everything and hits nothing) for what they appear to think is a crime against humanity. Also, be SURE to pick up after them, tie the bags closed, and dump in trash can on the corner. I'm not lecturing, rather giving you the benefit of my experience. I had to learn the hard way.

it wasn't; they haven't been to Brooklyn yet. I'll take them there and then never take them back to our old house, and I'm not ready to do that yet. We'll move in two weeks.
Thanks for the heads up! I'll make sure not to be one of those dog walkers that gives dog owners a bad name.

Eduardo Sanchez has done lots of painting and minor repairs (and one fairly big remodel) for me. Always does a great job and is a joy to work with. His number is 347-489-1605. You can also call me for more info on his work. Katherine 917-837-9613.
