Open Stairs/ Floating Stairs?

Open Stairs/ Floating Stairs?

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced company that can make open/floating stairs? We are renovating our basement and would like to put open stairs similar to the one in the photo. I prefer they be local to avoid expensive shipping costs. Thanks!

I thought I just read that NYC building code no longer allows floating stairs?

FWIW, according to every (both) inspector we've hired, in a 4 family building you need to have an enclosed staircase to the basement.

what about a 1 family dwelling?

I think Face design in Williamsburg might be able to do something like that. I don't know what their number is, but they're over on N.14th between Berry and Wythe.

try Mylen stairs, a semi-custom outfit, reasonably priced...I've used them before for a design with a mono-stringer stair, similar to the one you show.
