Nayci Contracting for Kitchen Renovation
Does anyone have experience using this contractor? They're based in Queens. I found them through Service Magic.
If anyone has had a particularly good experience with any licensed kitchen contractors, I'd love to hear about who you used.
Thanks

I am not sure I trust Service Magic. I just came across their website this morning, looking for a exterior siding person and they pulled up one name with an established date of 2008...

I'm not totally sure I trust Service Magic either, but, unlike Angie's List, it's free.

Service magic is available to any "contractor" willing to pay for leads. Anywhere from $75 to $250 per lead depending on the job.
give us a call. estimates are free, and you can check out some of our work on our website.

God help you if you use them! I've had a terrible experience with them that has lasted over 1 year. I am now in a law suit against them. There are at least 4 complaints listed against them at the BBB and 31 charges pending at Consumer Affairs.

Also if you look at "The Brownstoner" archives I've listed more than several degrees of unsatifications.

I've had great success with ServiceMagic, for a variety of projects. It definitely beats the yellow pages. To get back to the original question, however, I've never used Nayci Contracting.

Giovanna,
OP here. I'm assuming that you were referring to Colonial Concepts Corp., not Nayci Contracting. Please confirm.
Thanks

Try AllRenovation, they renovated two kitchens for me several years ago and did a great professional job. But keep in mind my project was a full 3 story brownstone renovation job. They are definitely worth calling though to get a pricing...

Just finished a kitchen renovation and used Mentor (Altina Tile and Contracting 917-692-6234). He did a great job, was reliable and the price was right. The other main players in the project - Park Slope Kitchen (cabinets) and Drimmers (applicances) would NOT use again.

I am speaking about Nayci Contracting. I didn't at all mention Colonial Concepts Corp. I don't know where that statement came from. The post had an inquiry about Nayci Contracting!!!!

I definitely do not trust ServiceMagic. They recommended a contractor who was only incorporated this year. I decided to meet them and judge for myself though from our short phone conversation he seemed to be a yes-man and I questioned his ability and true understanding of the task at hand. Well, the guy never called me back to confirm a tentative appointment we had set up for the day after the initial phonecall. I called and left two or maybe even three messages 30 minutes before our agreed meeting time. Its been a week and I still have not received a call back. Very unprofessional.

Why not give Linos a call
by Michael,M
I had challenging kitchen remodel completed by Lino. The building is a pre-war presenting many difficulties. Lino was incredible in completing the work and providing a masterful job on the cabinets, walls, ceilings, floors, and trim mouldings.

I had a horrible experience hiring Nayci Contracting for a large project. The father/son partners (Ayhan and Matt Nayci) sold themselves as a design/build firm and touted their own "architect." They said "yes" to everything we asked, we agreed on price. In the end, we were left with a half-working heating system, leaky plumbing, crooked framing and a poorly installed toilet (with 2 wax seals to make up for the height difference between the sewage pipe and the tile floor!). After we threw them out (much too late), we discovered that their plumber, "architect", and heating subcontractors were not licensed. It has been over a year now, and we are still paying to keep the results of their poor workmanship from destroying our home (leaky toilet, poor heating installation, etc.).

I had a terrible ordeal with Nayci Contracting. The father and son dual are crooks. They are still paying plantiffs from previous lawsuits. A recent client kicked both of them off the project because of their inferior work and their persistence in demanding money to complete the project. They are using their clients money to finance their personal porjects, as a result they are a cash flow problem. I confirm with Ack's statement that their plumber and subcontractors are not licensed. Basically, these loosers pay license professionals to certified their jobs. According the the BBB of NY they have 6 complaints against them over the last 36 months. According to Nayci's employees, the reason Nayci did not have more complaints was because they had only a couple of jobs in the last 12 months.
Stay Away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
