mold in basement

I need work done in the basement of my brownstone. The basement is very damp and there appears to be mold and a pungent smell. Can anyone recommend a handyman or contractor who can fix this problem?

Hi - I see in previous posts people suggest getting a dehumidifier going asap to deal with a moldy basement. I've also heard an ozone machine can be very good to get rid of mold after the dehumidifier gets rid of the moisture, something like this:http://www.quantumpureaire.com/lcs3500.php

For the dehumidifier, are there ones people can recommend?
Would one or two of these do the trick for a typcial brownstone basement?

Thank you -
