JP Interiors?

has anybody used this company? what were your experiences? thank you.

I used JP Interiors to do some plaster repair and taping.

There were problems with the job. It was all rather out-of-sequence, as I was waiting on the plumber to materialize, and incomplete (the plumbing wall hadn't of course been sheetrocked yet, as the plumber was AWOL). And I wanted to do the trim carpentry and painting myself.

So instead of being able to take responsibility for the finished product, he had a situation that I would have found difficult too. We had to communicate more than he found comfortable, and because he wasn't painting he had to do a better initial job sanding than he otherwise might--he didn't have the opportunity to go back and touch up.

While I understand that this is not an ideal situation, I found Jon evasive and put-out by it, and wish he'd just turned down the job if it was going to be that difficult for him. The quality of the work was OK, though, and his guys were incredibly polite and professional.

He is probably in his element when he has total control over the finished product, and he is hiring good labor--I trust that. But I wouldn't hire him if you're sensitive or a pushover, or have a weird job, or out-of-the ordinary expectations.
