How long to sand/poly floors?
We're closing on our new house in a couple of weeks. Any idea how long it would take to have floors sanded and finished? I think we'll be refinishing about 2200sf.

A professional crew like Verrazano can sand that in a day. The urethaning and screening between coats doesn't take long but if you use oil you'll have to allow a full day for each coat to dry. So, three coats = four days.
However, you shouldn't put down furniture for at least 48 hours and no rugs until it's totally cured (about ten days).

With due respect to Steve, either oil or acrylic should be allowed to dry a full day between coats and a proper floor has at least three. Optimal four.

Isn't that what I said?
