Donating a sofa to charity

I have a nice sofa that I'd like to donate to charity. Any recommendations about decent charities in Brooklyn that will pick it up?

City Opera thrift store in Manhattan will come and pick up furniture if it's nice quality and brand.

The Salvation Army has gotten very picky with what they will take when it comes to furniture. Basically, if it's old, they don't want it. If you want to donate to them, be sure to speak to someone first and get their criteria. You don't want them coming to the door and rejecting your offerings.
