DIRECT VENT GAS FIREPLACE

Has anyone installed a direct vent gas fireplace? If so who did you buy from, have intall and were you satisfied? For my installation I need a positive venting one which uses a fan since I must vent under the floor to an outside wall. All advice appreciated.

We were gonna install a pair of these. We actually had them on order. THen delivery got delayed, and we just decided to skip them.

We installed such a fireplace years ago in our home - under the floor "direct" vent - an unmitigated disaster. We disconnected the gas and now burn candles in it. Buyer beware!

Sitmd - Venting under the floor is strongly advised against unless the unit has positive venting, which means venting is fan driven. Did yours have positive venting?

Not fan driven.
